Buksaur is a book discovery app that helps users expand their knowledge while interacting with the community and balancing their screen time.
Project Overview
USER
The user is a teenager to an adult who enjoys reading as a hobby. They use smartphone apps regularly for reading and other activities. They love connecting with characters and exploring new worlds through reading. However, they face challenges due to limited access to books, difficulty navigating through options, and finding a balance between screen time and reading.
CHALLENGE
Buksaur is a product that offers an interactive community and book reviews to help users build their book collections. It also includes a screen-time feature for users to manage their reading time.
SOLUTIONS
The designer analyzed the service design by examining its various layers, including the interface, expertise, processes, systems, tools, and offerings. After that, she created the wireframe, developed a style guide for design consistency, and designed the entire app.

Valuable Takeaways
I've learned from this case study that service design layers help designers meet users' needs by analyzing each layer. There are various style guide elements to consider, including human error design, such as "forgot password" and "helps & tickets." Additionally, microscopy or UX writing is essential for improving the product's branding.
